How does the use of PROs and Content ID align with the free download model for your music?
Unfortunately, there will always be individuals who misuse creative works. Protecting the rights and ownership of my music is essential to prevent such misuse and ensure proper attribution. It also helps to secure rightfully owed royalties and other forms of monetisation in various situations where my music has not been properly credited, or where the user is unable to credit me for using my music.
What do I do if I get a Copyright Content ID claim on YouTube?
If you get a content ID claim that hasn’t already been flagged on my end, then contact me ASAP and I will add your channel to the whitelist, providing attribution has been given in the videos where my music is used.
I’m an artist. Can I sing or rap over your tracks?
Yes, you can sing or rap over my tracks as part of the my free music license and upload them to YouTube or general social media, as long as:
- You don’t remix or modify the original composition.
- You provided attribution to Daniel Kemble.
However, you cannot add your vocals to my tracks and release them as your own music on an album or streaming platform. This is strictly prohibited due to copyright infringement and violation of the free music license you agree to when you download my music. Any such instances will be flagged and action will be taken accordingly.
How can I support your work?
If you’d like to support my music, here’s how you can contribute:
- Purchase my albums from online retailers like Amazon, iTunes and others.
- Stream my tracks on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and others.
For now, this is all I have available, but I may offer more varied support options in the near future. Your support helps me continue creating music and offering it for free use in creative projects.
